What is a Neck Lift?

Neck Lift vs. Facelift

However, some individuals may benefit from a neck lift alone if their facial aging is less significant than neck aging.

Neck Lift Procedure

Neck lift surgery is typically performed as an outpatient procedure under sedation or general anesthesia. The surgeons make small incisions beneath the chin, behind the ears, and into the hairline to access the underlying tissues. They may remove or sculpt small amounts of fat, then tighten and reposition the platysma muscle and deep tissues. Excess skin is tailored and incisions are closed with sutures.

Recovery After Neck Lift

After surgery, a light compression dressing is applied. Patients return home the same day and are seen for a follow-up appointment the next day. Initial swelling and bruising fade over 2-3 weeks. Most patients can return to normal daily activities after about 14 days, at which point early neck lift results become visible.
