Understanding Chemical Peel Treatments

A chemical peel is a professional dermatological procedure designed to improve and smooth facial skin texture by removing damaged outer layers. This treatment effectively addresses multiple skin concerns, including:

  • Facial blemishes
  • Fine wrinkles
  • Uneven skin pigmentation

Chemical Solutions Used

Lambert Paul MD utilizes specialized chemical solutions including phenol, trichloroacetic acid (TCA), and alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs). Each treatment is precisely formulated to meet individual patient needs and skin conditions.

Treatment Considerations

Chemical peels enhance skin appearance but are not substitutes for surgical procedures like facelifts. The treatment will not prevent or permanently halt the aging process. Individual results vary based on specific skin characteristics and treatment approach.

Customized Treatment Approach

The medical team carefully assesses each patient's unique skin condition to develop a tailored chemical peel strategy. Comprehensive consultation ensures patients understand potential outcomes and procedural expectations.

This review is to help others know all the facts before getting any surgery. Understand BEFORE any surgery what it means when phrases such as, "Yes, this is covered under your insurance" ACTUALLY mean before making a decision. And, I can't HIGHLY recommend enough to get a written list of who will be in the operating room during your surgery so when bills arrive six months later, you have an accurate account for your records. Minutes before my surgery, I graciously agreed to have someone "in training" in the operating room. Now, over six months later, bills are still coming in for this "in training" person. The bottom line is this is a business, pure and simple. Treat it as such. Be well.
