The fat in the treated area expands and hardens into an unnaturally shaped lump in response to the extreme cold. Instead of gradually shrinking, the bulge after CoolSculpting actually gets bigger and usually becomes firmer than surrounding tissues. The appearance resembles the shape of the CoolSculpting applicator. That's exactly what has happened to me. I tried giving it additional time, but the bulge is visibly worse than before. It leaves you with a hard bulge under your chin. Unfortunately, even though they do let you know about some of the side effects of swelling, irritation and more. I was not informed that the opposite of what my goal was, could had happened. It has been a challenging experience. I had 2 sessions done back in July & September. Unfortunately it isn't worth your time nor money. If you must, go with other options rather than CoolSculpting.

Dr. Soni was wonderful and very friendly. The process itself was non painful. Felt somewhat cold, but it was fixed very well. I had great results from the cryolipolysis.
