My wife had skin removal surgery and was supposed to get her belly button removed. He tells her "you get what you pay for!" And "we're going commando with this one!" prior to her surgery. She had fluid build-up in her stomach and was feeling unfit to go home. He rips open her incision and thrusts his fingers in her stomach. A nurse was appalled at what she saw and he tried to do it when no one was watching. She has had to seek advice from a different doctor. One of the stitches from the operation was left in her stomach protruding from the inside. I had to take a pair of tweezers and remove it myself. This is all true and straight to the point. If you could seek assistance from a different person, I would advise that you do so. This guy is no true professional. The more I ponder how he treated my wife, the more infuriated I get. Edit Update: She has 3 hernias in her stomach around where he performed his 'procedure'. If I can put him out of business and have his license revoked, I will; before he botches another person's procedure.

I would love to be able to give Dr. Stofman a 5 star review. He was recommended very highly by another physician so we went to see him. My husband needed a procedure and after our initial consultation, we were told the office would call to let us know if the procedure would be covered by our insurance. No one ever called. We waited an appropriate amount of time (3-4 weeks) then called the office. We were assured that the matter would be investigated and we would get a call back. That call never came. I waited another week and called again. I spoke to a new CSR who had just been hired. She was very pleasant, and again promised to have someone call me. It has been 2 more weeks and still no call. I am extremely disappointed and more than a little frustrated. Please tell me how exactly I should trust a doctor to hold a surgical blade to my husband when the office can't even return a phone call or give their patients the time of day. Dr. Stofman?? If anyone is going to call at this point, it should be YOU.

Sloppy surgical work, either well past his prime or never had a prime to begin with. Look elsewhere for a surgeon.

Absolutely recommend. Dr. Stofman is so confident and has a reason to be. He completed my septo/rhino after a failed initial septoplasty back in 2014. He so knowledgeable and has an incredible team! Alexis, Amy, Kim, and Jackie with scheduling. I’m only one week postop and beyond swollen and still couldn’t wait to post this review. I’m already looking and breathing better in just one week then I did so many years post my 2014 surgery. He made me aware of all risks and possible outcomes. Being how major my surgery was, he needed to take ear cartilage to fix my nose. I am so pleased with the outcome and gentle care I received by UPMC staff and Stofman’s team. I was made so comfortable and my nerves were lessened by these folks. I am telling you they listened!! They listened to all my needs. Dr. Stofman.. absolutely incredible work! I highly recommend this team.
