This share is for those who are considering getting this lower Blepharoplasty procedure. I am in my 50s and I've never ever even seen the inside of an operating room. So to say i was a little skeptical about the whole process is an understatement. I was afraid of getting this procedure and my fears were from walking out of the door surgery room with bad eyesight up to possibly dying because of the anesthesia. I spent so many sleepless nights before this procedure wondering if I should do it or not . One thing I can advise you is of course do your research find out which process works best for you internal or external Lower Blepharoplasty (Lower Blepharoplasty was the procedure I had done). However ultimately you have to have total confidence in your surgeon. To be completely transparent when I came out of the operating room the very next day besides the stitching I looked amazing. However, a few days later I got something called chemosis which basically means an excessive amount of swelling around the eyes. If you saw me a few days after the procedure you either felt like crying for me or running away from me because it was very scary looking. What's great is my Surgeon and his staff were extremely supportive and to help me heal and look back to normal and now 3 months later I declare the whole process extremely successful. My before and after pictures are like night and day. I look so much better and healthier, and I feel great looking into the mirror. So, I will say these words to you because I know how you feel and I'm sure you may be on the fence whether to do this or not. I cannot tell you whether to do it or not to do it. All I can say is do your homework, do your research and of course have ultimate confidence in your surgeon. All the best to you my friend, I trust you'll make the best decision for yourself.
