For patients who are trying to schedule after weight-loss surgeries, you may be interested to know that the office will not even schedule a *consultation* until 1 year post-op. I was also told that when you call to schedule this consultation, the schedule is booked out for approximately another 1 year, which means that at a minimum, you will not be able to schedule a *consultation* until 2 years post-op. I totally understand needing to wait to take any kind of surgical *action* until 1-2 years post-op, with stabilized weight for a set period of time (3 months or so). However, I wanted a consultation to discuss the procedures the doctor thinks I might need, as well as to ensure I do everything possible to potentially get any kind of coverage by my insurance company for some of these upcoming procedures. Basically, I wanted to create a "game-plan," then schedule an appointment to prepare for the procedures themselves later on down the line (1-1.5 years post-op). The office told me I can't even call to set up the consultation until my 1 year post-op anniversary. They will not even schedule me on the calendar *after* my 1 year date if I *call* before the 1 year date.

Dr Joseph Michaels is the BEST. I traveled out of the state for him to operate on me and it was so well worth it. Also well worth the wait. He is genuinely the best Plastic surgeon. He listened to my concerns and wishes, he used his expertise and magical hands and was able to transform my body into what I dreamed of. I’m so happy with my results.
