The doctors at the ER all told us they could close my child’s injury then and there if we gave them permission. The problem they cautioned us was if they did his face and eye would droop and there would be nerve damage if wasn’t done by special skilled pediatric Neuro/plastic surgeon and none were there or available. in the hospital at the time. We told them we didn’t want our child to have nerve damage, and definitely didn’t want to have his eye, and related muscles in his face to droop. After discussing it in detail they offered to make calls and see if anyone with those qualifications would be willing to come in at that hour. . The only doctor willing to come at that hour was Dr. Fuentes who immediately came to the emergency room and repaired the gaping hole in my child’s head. My child is now a young adult and we are grateful to Dr. Fuentes to this day. My son has a small scar that he grew less self consciousness of over the years, but the fact he doesn’t have drooping eye and nerve damage is something we will always have him to thank for! Dr. Fuentes fixed a deep gaping hole that exposed the white his skull that is not barely noticeable. I am so glad we didn’t have them just stitch and staple it there on the spot!.

I went to Dr.Fuentes office back in April 2020 when the whole pandemic just started. I went in for a scar revision to the forehead after a fall. When I called the receptionist she seemed as if she didn’t want me to go. I was traveling from Brooklyn and found this doctor through a recommendation and didn’t mind traveling 45 minutes to have him see me. I called around 10am and the front desk receptionist told me I can come in at noon. I asked if I can come in later since that was pretty soon and I live far, but she said no because she’s booked for the day. I rushed and got there at 12. I was the only patient there for the duration of my stay so idk why she said she was “booked”. The lady at the front facing the waiting room was nice however the lady at the desk inside was very snobby. she was the one I spoke to over the phone. I heard her ask the other receptionist “did the Brooklyn girl come in yet”? I was seen by the doctor right away. He was very nice and I was confident that he will give me the results I needed. When I asked how much this procedure would cost he told me to ask the reception that’s inside the office. She quoted me $7000!!!! Let me just say that this is for a very small scar to my forehead. Literally no longer than 1/2 an inch. She said it’s usually $14,000 but because of covid it’s half off. I couldn’t believe it. There’s absolutely no way it should be that much. From the moment I spoke to her over the phone she rubbed me wrong. I left feeling upset and taken advantage of. I can’t speak on the doctor because I didn’t get the procedure done by him but his receptionist in the back is horrible. The moment I spoke to her and said I was coming from Brooklyn she seemed to have a problem. Needless to say I got the procedure done by a well respected surgeon on Park Avenue in NYC and paid less than $2000. That’s how I know she was taking advantage of me. I’m not sure what she had against me but I will not be back nor will I recommend any one going there.
