Where do i begin. I have had issues with my breathing and nose all my life . This is my fourth and final surgery on my nose. I was in a domestic violence incident where my nose was broken in two places . I went to my local ENT where I was told my nose was not that bad …..🧐 Mind you this was by the same doctor who performed one of my surgeries where he put rods in my nose to help me breathe better. I wanted a second opinion and was referred to Iowa city . Where I was then referred to Doctor Owen’s who had over a year waiting list to have surgery not mention about a two month wait to even be seen. I asked if there was any one else he could recommend as I did not want to wait that long . He said no and gave me the most honest advice. Telling me anyone will take my money but I will probably end up back here in Iowa City . So I took his advice and waited. That was the best decision I ever made . I had surgery a week ago . The moment I woke up in the operating room I said I can breathe! I honestly don’t remember the last time I could breathe like this even before my last nose break ! I’m amazed. I honestly accepted the fact that I would never be able to breathe normally.On top of that I look like myself again, even better really ! This has been a life changing experience for me ! I can breathe and I have my confidence back! Dr Owens has given me my life back ! I have a new outlook on life . Just being able to breathe is priceless and having my nose look normal is a bonus! There are no words to express my gratitude! I Thank you Dr .Owens and the entire staff that has assisted me through this process. Every single person I have encountered through this process has been so kind and compassionate! I can never repay you or thank you enough! I will forever be grateful !

I was referred to Dr. Owen and saw him a year ago to finally fix the source of all my problems; my severely deviated and messed up nose. Him being booked out that far made me feel confident in his skills, by the way. He also answered many questions, did a thorough examination and explained everything in great (but easy to understand) detail. Fast forward to the actual surgery and results… I am blown away! Beforehand all my questions were answered. Not to mention he and the surgery team have great bedside manners. The surgery went very well, and my new nose is a testament to everyone’s hard work that day. My recovery has also been very smooth; minimal to no bruising, and no complications or severe pain. Lastly, I can breathe so so so so good. Im very happy. I even cried when we got home after getting the splints out. I just was so overwhelmed from being able to actually breathe. Im grateful. A huge thank you to the Doctor!
