What is a Breast Lift?

Breast lift surgery is a body contouring treatment that reshapes breasts by reducing loose skin and surgically tightening remaining tissue. This procedure helps women experiencing breast sagging due to aging, significant weight loss, or nursing. At Forma Plastic Surgery in Scottsdale, AZ, advanced surgical methods are utilized to create rejuvenated and uplifted-looking breasts.

Benefits of Breast Lift Surgery

  • Restored breast appearance
  • Tightened skin for a smoother, lifted look
  • Improved nipple positioning
  • Reduced areola size
  • Younger, more rejuvenated aesthetic

Breast Lift Procedure Details

Breast lift surgery typically takes 2-4 hours under general anesthesia. The procedure involves carefully trimming loose skin, tightening remaining tissue, and gently lifting breasts into their intended position. Multiple incision patterns are available, with the specific technique determined during an initial consultation and comprehensive breast examination.

Surgical Approach

Forma Plastic Surgery customizes each breast lift procedure to address individual patient needs. Surgeons strategically plan incisions to minimize visible scarring and achieve natural-looking results. The goal is to create symmetrical, youthful breasts that align with the patient's aesthetic goals.

Candidate Evaluation

Most women in good health dissatisfied with breast appearance are potential candidates for a breast lift. A comprehensive consultation allows surgeons to assess individual suitability and discuss potential outcomes. Patients are encouraged to disclose medical conditions that might impact surgical recovery.

Recovery and Results

Post-surgical recovery involves wearing compression garments and following specific care instructions. Dressings and bandages will be applied to incisions, and patients can expect final results to develop over several months as breasts settle into their new position.

Potential Considerations

During consultation, Dr. Yao will help determine whether a breast lift, implants, or combination procedure best meets the patient's aesthetic objectives. Factors such as breast asymmetry, tissue condition, and personal goals will guide the recommended approach.

Dr. Yao performed an upper blepharoplasty on me as an in-office procedure in June, 2024. The procedure was completed in under an hour. I felt minimal discomfort during the procedure. Dr. Yao went above and beyond to explain the procedure in all stages; before, during, and after. Even though I am an operating room nurse and aesthetic nurse injector, Dr. Yao treated me as a person having the procedure for the first time and that made me feel taken care of as well as well-informed. As an operating room nurse, I’ve seen many surgeons who do these procedures well. I chose Dr. Yao because he has consistent results, excellent communication skills, and follows up routinely.

First of all I was the second person to be brought in to the office at 1:00 I sat and waited for dr Yao as he went to four other people before me for over an hour. Very ignorant and did not want to listen to me and was in and out of the room in less than five or so minutes. I can’t even imagine what his two residents thought of his ignorance and non ethical behavior. I guess having MEDICARE and a great secondary insurance means nothing
