Roxana Y. Rivera, MD, is an oculoplastic surgeon specializing in reconstructive and cosmetic surgery of the eyelids, eye socket, and tear drainage system. She treats a variety of conditions including congenital defects, drooping eyelids, tumors, tear duct problems, injuries of the eyelids, tear drainage system, or eye socket, and reconstruction of the eyelids after cancer removal.
Dr. Rivera completed her medical degree with honors from the National University of Trujillo, School of Medicine in Peru. She then pursued fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus at Dalhousie University in Canada, followed by fellowship training in ophthalmic plastic, reconstructive, and orbital surgery at the University of Cincinnati University Hospital, Cincinnati Eye Institute, and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. Dr. Rivera is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Medical Association, and Pan-American Association of Ophthalmology.
